I’m excited yet again to bring you another stunning styled shoot, created by Charming Details, Claire Marika Photography, and myself. With the seeds of inspiration for this shoot in our minds since January, this green, botanical inspired shoot came together beautifully, thanks to our incredible vendors. We shot it in July, and we’ve waited 6 long months for it to grace the pages of the wonderful Wedding Chicks!
“Claire and I recruited Emmily of Charming Details to design this moody botanical-inspired bridal shoot. All vendors brought their own personal aesthetics to the table and all vendors walked away having a very cohesive representation of their artistic work.
We were drawn to the incredible Nicole of Soil and Stem for her asymmetrical and untamed arrangements, which perfectly complemented our vision for a natural and organic aesthetic. The dyed silk ribbon on the bouquet is from Ginny Au at Frou Frou Chic.
Emmily of Charming Details chose a natural wood table and chairs, and mixed textures in the plates and mercury glass votives. Her touch of blackberries and greenery to the classic, single tier frosted cake from The Chocolate added rich color and visual flavor, and the tall aged candlesticks brought a romantic touch to the scene. Melissa Anderson created the paper suite, using green watercolor calligraphy on a heavy cotton rag paper and adding vintage stamps as the perfect finishing touch.
Flavia of Versa Artistry is unmatched for her ability to showcase her subject’s natural beauty while still tastefully elevating it to a formal style. Morgan was a brilliant model, her sea green eyes contrasted beautifully with her red hair, and her charm was evident from beginning to end as she brought her femininity to the raw power of our beautiful horse, Casper.
Claire Pettibone’s Orange Blossom gown was an essential element of this shoot, with its three dimensional buds, open back and gold threading. Barbie and her staff from Gateway Bridal provided this piece for us. We chose a rose-gold ring with a leaf pattern from Fadel’s Fine Jewelry, tying in the subtle gold accents in the tablescape and the botanical theme of the shoot.
A Twist of Lemon Photography and Claire Marika Photography worked together to capture this collaboration, working with the natural lighting and temperature of the surroundings as time progressed.”
